Why Go Natural?

Why go natural?

Our skin is the largest organ in our body with a surface area of over 21 square feet and accounts for 6% to 10% of body weight. Chemicals absorb directly through the skin and into the blood stream causing toxic effects. This absorption will then pass through to your vital organs like your kidneys and liver and accumulate.

Look at the ingredients in your favorite cosmetics and creams. Most people assume the government (FDA) regulates the cosmetics and sports cream industry, but they don’t.

Ingredients like parabens, petroleums, and dimethicones can be hazardous to your health over prolonged periods of time. These are used in products as preservatives, to increase performance, or to decrease cost. The simple truth is, they work. The thing is, we as athletes and sports enthusiasts are running, riding, swimming, or climbing for our health. It is counter-productive to lather on a lotion, chamois cream or anti chafing product that has these ingredients.

What can you use? Bluerub is designed and manufactured without these hazardous ingredients. All of our products are 95% or greater naturally derived.

We do include preservatives in some of our products. Research shows that yeast, mold, or bacteria can and will get into products that contain water as one of the ingredients. Products without preservatives can cause an infection if used on an open sore, blemish, or chafing skin. That is a risk we are not willing take.
